Daisy's Bio

Daisy started dancing at the age of 8 training in jazz, tap, and ballet. Growing up in a single parent home, her mom could no longer afford classes and had to pull her out of dance at age 12. As a means to pay for her classes, she started student teaching at her studio and has now been a teacher for the last 18 years.

Her passion for hip hop grew after be-friending and being inspired by a crew of b-boys. A self taught hip hop dancer, she went on performing in venues all over the city, dancing with vocal artists, at provincial competitions, and for the Edmonton Oilers.

Daisy started A.W.O.L. Crew 3 years ago to provide dance within her own community at affordable rates. Daisy's philosophy: "Dance has been the source of so much of my joy in life and everyone should have the opportunity to feel that positive energy."
